Le Castle Vania at FUCK YESSS

Thanks to everyone that took a break fro studying for finals and made it out for a bangin night. All the way Los Angeles we brought you Computer Club to grace us with his electronic love. Also this month we received support from our homies The Midnight Conspiracy all the way up from Chicago. Le Castle Vania had kids doing somersaults from the rafters and off the stage. Street Lurkin closed out the night and shut it down with some sing along fun. This past Sloppy, The Overthrow brought out the heavy hitter, DJ Soak.  The three time Spain DMC champion was without a doubt on the "1's and 2's".  Nineteen year old, Sergio Hernando Gallego, took to the event like he was right at home.  Masking the crowd with scratch techniques along with seamless blending in and out of popular hits was certainly within his forte.  It was great to bring back some of those turntablists skills that we once saw in earlier Sloppy Seconds.

Always Never brings to you the ultimate installment of FUCK YESSS. This month we had the Always Never crew repping hard with Le Castle Vania at the reigns and Rrrump and Street Lurkin help up for the support. The night was an overall success of basstastic fun.

Converse presents the after party for The XX at MJQ this past Wednesday with Jamie from the XX guest DJing with three other artists on the support for the night.

Overthrow presents Sloppy Seconds this month with headliner Kissy Sellout from the UK. Hands down one of the best DJ sets I HAVE EVER SEEN. I find Kissy before his set in the sound booth pacing back and forth. Nervous to perform in front of the Sloppy Seconds crowd he says. Crazy for thinking such a thing.. and crazy it was.

Sloopy Seconds this month was taken over by the Overthrow creaw from Miami, FL.  They brought it and they brought it hard.  Dj's were tweaked out, DJ's were looking hot as ever, photos were out of control, someone head was floating around the whole night, moonshine flowed down many throats, and there will be video to document it all.

Always Never presents FUCK YESSS with Le Castle Vania + Rrrump + Street Lurkin + Kryptonite at the Drunken Unicorn on 08.05.10 for one of the hottest nights to date yet, literally. This night had enough energy to power an atomic bomb. From the first 10 mins doors opened till way after door closed, kids were going off and letting loose the entire night.

Four years of Sloppy nights come to this one big celebration!  Overthrow pulls it all together and brought out Kid Sister to celebrate her birthday along with Sloppy's birthday along side.  Backed up with Tamara Sky, Smiles, and Cobra Crew, MJQ never saw it coming.  Side swiped like a Mini Cooper by an 18 wheeler, this night was nothing short of chaos.  Make sure to check the site out soon to see a video from the night!

Last week's hump day called for a special mix of the old and the new, with stops to see good friend Justin Bright spinning El Bar's monthly Zoo Atlanta event and MJQ's notorious Wednesday night bash, still the cornerstone of Atlanta's indie scene after all these years.
