This is the big one! We are giving the Drunken Unicorn a break this month and taking over the Main Room of MJQ. We are flying in our best friend DJ Paparazzi from Los Angeles to throw down on this big event with us. Le Castle Vania and Rrrump will be going all out this month. Atlanta's most intense indie party is about to get more intense. We will be adding visuals to the night along with a larger louder sound system to pull it all together. You don't want to miss this one.

Bringing a lil bit of Hip Hop to Friday at Halo this Friday with C.Will and Cobra Corps. Lots of new faces and a different vibe was a good change of scenery.
Last Saturday's London invasion of East Atlanta took the monthly Down&Durty crowd out for a underground spin, as BBC Radio 1's Dj Annie Mac brought her eclectic mix of dubstep, dnb, hip-hop, disco and electro from overseas to the floors of Graveyard Tavern. Once again, Cobra Corps joined forces with the Overthrow to create a perfect night of turmoil, debauchery and rage - all in the name of the Queen.
Roulette turned it up downtown at the W Hotel this month with a gracious giveaway of White Light offerings; from summer tank tops and free mixtapes to Jose Cuervo Platino specials all night long, what more could you ask for?
Whitelight and Sorry Darlin' present Girls Room with DJ Smiles at Opera on 07.30.10.
Take the time to wander down Peachtree and treat yourself to the top tier in hair artistry at James Madison salon. Named “Best of the South” by Harpers Bazaar and “Best Color Salon” by Elle Magazine, as well as the official hair salon of Cirque de Soleil(!!), James Madison displays true innovative style: “The color of fashion – multidimensional or monochromatic – flows from this team’s technical brilliance and imaginative designs.”
And, if you were lucky enough to stop by last Saturday for the 50th birthday of the face behind the eponymous salon, James Madison pulled out all the high cards, including a home-cooked buffet bar, sangria and pear mixers, and a mammoth, all-you-can-eat sushi platter. Not to mention the additional appearance of Oh Snap Kid and one of his infamous photobooths (and an intern who quickly took that platter down).
Basically, we leave you with this: “Do not expect just another salon, expect an experience.”
The Couch Lounge Booth returns to Graveyard Mondays with Dead Paris on 06.14.10. Be sure to keep an eye out for the next time we bring your favorite booth for those profile pics! ;)
Overthrow presents Sloppy Seconds with artists Drop the Lime, Rrrump, Smiles, Jay Envy, and Megan Foxxx at MJQ Concourse on 06.21.10.
I dunno about you guys, but i'm a sucker for a good remix, even if I don't like the original track. That's the case with Cookie Monsta's remix of Dirty Picture by Taio Cruz and Ke$ha. This is Tony "Cookie Monsta" Cook's first official remix and he absolutely smashes it. The beat is simple filthy, and I love how only uses small samples of the vocals, and really makes the Tune his own.
