No Mess Chune Up #1

I'm going to be doing a series where I just throw up a quick track for you all to check out.  Something I really like, but isn't like a full artist profile.  Got the name idea, well mainly because i'm really corny, but I liked the dual meaning of posting a tune, and also tuning up your music library so to speak.  This will be a weekly spot, but if something really hits me, i may throw in a few extra posts! doctorp To start it off we have the Doctor P remix of 12th Planet & Juakali's tune Reasons.  It just dropped on SMOG's Scion Sampler CD.  I've been feeling Doctor P ever since I first heard Sweet Shop, and this one continues the same style of crunch and screech drops laced with a comparatively serene intro and middle. Big In The Game

One of the biggest producers in the dubstep game right now is 21 year old Joker. He hails from Easton, Bristol, UK, and began producing at the age of 13. DJs have been destroying dance floors with this tunes for years, and this is just one of the latest in a long line of bangers! With it's catchy synth line and rolling bass, it's hard to resist the charms of this track. Take a listen to Tron by Joker. [kml_flashembed movie="http://www.youtube.com/v/apNEpSyzzWU" width="425" height="344" allowfullscreen="true" fvars="fs=1" /] Not only is Joker killing it on the production side, but he's also been banging out some massive remixes. He turned out this rework of Simian Mobile Disco's Cruel Intentions (feat Beth Ditto). You'll recognize the same futuristic synth sounds that make many of Joker's tracks so easy to pick out. Cruel Intentions (Joker Remix) Be sure to check him on on myspace and twitter

Dr. Osaka's Electraport to the Orient

62238|500

MJQ was absolutely crazy this past Saturday. The most unique fashion show that I have had the pleasure of attending.  An edgy theme and accompanied with a story line.  Be sure to check out the pics and just see what an "Electraport" is.

Fever Sugar and Spice Edition

61583|500

Another successful Fever takes over Halo with the help of Sorry Darlin and Fem Fatl to keep the sexiness in the air contrasted with Atlanta's wildest group of kids that host events, The Cobra Corps.  Oh yea... and things decided to spontaneously combust. WTF o_O

Under The Sheets (Chiddy Bang Remix)

boom

Chiddy Bang first made it on to my radar a year or so ago with their amazing remix of MGMT's Kids. Since then he's made a pretty decent splash with his debut mixtape " The Swelly Express ." Their back to follow up The Swelly Express with the new mixtape titled the Air Swell, which is totally comprised of tracks written by the duo during their frequent transatlantic flights between the US and the Uk. The lead track from the mixtape is a remix of one of our favorite Brit's Ellie Goulding (shouts to the gang over at Neon Gold), with the remix being produced by Xaphoon Jones. Jones takes Goulding and Starsmith's already amazing "Under  The Sheets " and synths it out even harder, then Chiddy jumps on and sets the track to rest. Make sure to hit-up the download below and be sure to check out Chiddy Bang with Kid Cudi this Thursday  at Emory... I know weird right ? Girls Room takes over Opera

60375|500

Whitelight has done it again.  With the re-launch of Girls Room at Opera they certainly gave everyone something to go home and talk about.  Could it be Smiles and Kid Cedek getting people to tear up the dancefloor?  Maybe it was the packed stage of Whitelight supporters getting wild.  Possibly it could of been the flipped table and drinks thrown on people...take your pick.

St Pabst Day and All It's Greatness

59184|500

It's come to that time of year again and instead of drinking green beer, Graveyard Tavern and Pabst Blue Ribbon put together an event that will get you partying and drinking till you turn green!  Slammin music, hot women dancing in close to nothing, and you favorite tavern in A...what more could one kilt wearing, green bedazzled, stumbling drunk person ask for???
